Description:
The Salvation Army seva (service) brings together the Sai family in the service of the homeless on the third Sunday of each month. A group of volunteers prepares a full lunch for homeless people who are served at Pittsburgh's North Shore facility. These homeless people attend Sunday morning sermon prior to being served lunch at the facility. An average of 40-50 homeless people take adavantage of this service acvtivity. Devotees coordinate the meal preparation activities amongst themselves in a rather selfless and willing manner to offer their love and generosity by ensuring this service continues unhindered. The lunch itself is a full course consisting of salad, soup, main dish, fruits, juices and milk. Pittsburgh Sai Center members view this opportunity to serve the homeless as a blessing.
